Perfect Choice For Perfect Time
"Les Mis" star Anne Hathaway
debuted a daring, goth-glam look upon arriving at the National Board of
Review Awards in NYC on Tuesday evening. The frontrunner for Best
Supporting Actress probably won't opt for such an edgy ensemble come
Oscar night, but we'd certainly love to see more of her in Givenchy
sandals and menswear-inspired outfits, such as this lace-accented looker
courtesy of Saint Laurent.
Meanwhile in the California
desert -- at the 24th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival --
"Argo" director Ben Affleck was busy turning heads in this dapper Gucci
suit, which featured satin trim and a bow tie. Jennifer Garner is one
lucky lady!
"The Office's" Angela Kinsey --
who killed it as Carson Daly's co-host on NBC's New Year's Eve broadcast
a few weeks ago -- also killed it on the red carpet at the highly
anticipated premiere of Chris Colfer's new coming-of-age movie, "Struck
by Lightning." What do you make of the blond beauty's asymmetrical
Tadashi Shoji frock, which she fabulously paired with a
crystal-encrusted Swarovski clutch and futuristic footwear courtesy of
Camilla Skovgaard? Love it!
Very few
females can pull off the neon mini dress, but Chloe Grace Moretz is one
of those lucky ladies. Needless to say, we were in awe when she popped
up on the People's Choice Awards red carpet in this flirty, florescent
number designed by Simone Rocha. (1/9/2013)
Kerry Washington -- who's been
promoting "Django Unchained" across the globe for the past few weeks --
made a fashionable stop in France on Monday in this strapless Rochas
Spring 2013 gown. A classic topknot and pale pink lipstick made for the
perfect accessories.
The cast of "Gangster Squad" has
been out in full force attempting to drum up excitement for the big
screen shoot-em-up, which opens nationwide on Friday. Exciting us --
possibly more than the film's preview -- were the Lanvin dress and
crystal necklace worn by the adorable Emma Stone to the Los Angeles
premiere. Smokey eyes and freshly highlighted locks made for the perfect
finishing touches.
Following in Ben's footsteps was the equally alluring Naomi Watts
("The Impossible"), who popped a pose in a simple-yet-chic Roland Mouret
gown and Cartier jewels before collecting the Desert Palm Achievement
award last weekend.
Floral Bottega Veneta dress?
Check. Leather Smythson clutch? Check. Burgundy Charlotte Olympia
platform pumps? Check. Daniel Craig's better half, Rachel Weisz, looking
as effortlessly stunning as ever at a screening of "The Deep Blue Sea"
... check!
Emma's "Gangster Squad" co-star Ryan Gosling hit the carpet with his
mom in tow, but people ended up talking about his bold suit hue more
than his date. We knew cinnamon was tasty ... but not this tasty!
Chastain
was spotted strolling through the Big Apple in a candy-apple-red Michael
Kors coat and contrasting Rupert Sanderson heels. Matching nail polish,
a porcelain complexion, and wavy tresses completed her flawless look.
Also looking lovely in lace this week was fellow Oscar nominee
Jessica Chastain ("Zero Dark Thirty"), who did double duty Monday night
-- at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards followed by a screening of
"Mama" -- in a divine Oscar de la Renta dress, diamond necklace, and
Christian Louboutin platform peep-toes
And last, but certainly not least, we have Taylor Swift, who -- for
once -- didn't don a metallic dress! Instead, the pop-country cutie
sported an ivory-colored Ralph Lauren gown with a deep plunging neckline
that undoubtedly drove her ex, One Direction singer Harry Styles, mad.
Eat your heart out, Harry!
