Hollywood’s 5 Biggest Fools
April isn't the only month for fools in Hollywood … some act like that 365 days a year.
It was tough to pick just five to celebrate April Fools' Day, but we
narrowed it down to those who have been grabbing headlines for all the
wrong reasons these first few months of 2013.
Based on the evidence, here are the five biggest celebrity fools:
Lindsay Lohan
Forget an Oscar, if there was an award for best drama queen, LiLo
would smoke the competition. Since the year kicked off, omg! has been
covering her for lots of reasons, none of them positive. In mid-January,
the 26-year-old unceremoniously fired longtime lawyer Shawn Holley amid
a reported $150,000 in unpaid legal bills and instead hired New
York-based Mark Jay Heller, whose "competency" was later called into
question by a judge. Just before a January 30 mandatory pre-trial
hearing for her June 2012 car crash, the actress claimed to be too sick
to fly cross-country, even though she had been photographed shopping and
smoking days before. But after being threatened with an arrest warrant,
she made the trek with just hours to spare.
For her March 18 trial, Lohan missed two flights from NYC to L.A. and
hopped off a third at the last minute. She eventually was 42 minutes
late to court after Mr. Pink energy drink chartered her a $50,000
private jet. Upon arriving, she headed into the judge's chambers where
she hashed out a plea deal of 90 days in rehab as her punishment … but
she didn't head straight to treatment. Instead, Lohan was spotted
partying with her new boyfriend and attended a $100,000 promotional gig
in Brazil on March 28, where she was photographed hiding under a table.
Although she will spend three months in "lock down" rehab from May until
July, we expect to hear a lot from Lohan this year.
Chris Brown and Rihanna
Together or apart, the two have been causing quite a commotion.
Although Brown is still on probation for beating the "Stay" singer in
2009, that hasn't stopped him from acting like a punk. In late January,
singer Frank Ocean accused him of attacking him and calling him a
"fa**ot" because Brown wanted his parking spot at a Los Angeles-area
recording studio. Two weeks later, when Ocean beat out Brown at the
Grammys, the "Don’t Wake Me Up Singer" – who is also being accused by
L.A. County prosecutors for lying about community service he claims he
completed in Virginia – refused to stand up and applaud like everyone
else in the audience. At an afterparty, Brown and Rihanna were
photographed smoking marijuana blunts, which is illegal in California. A
few days later on Valentine's Day, Rihanna boasted about the drug being
her "valentine" to her millions of fans on Twitter.
While the two took a break from being seen together in public by
March, they were still both making plenty of trouble on their own. On
March 7, Brown was seen in a video exploding on a valet attendant at a
charity event in L.A. because he dared to ask the millionaire for $10 to
park his car. "F**k ten dollars," Brown, 23, seethes as he got in
parking attendant's face, before someone in his entourage eventually
paid the nominal fee. On March 20, one of Rihanna's tour buses was
pulled over on the Canada-Michigan border … and marijuana was found.
Three days later, the songstress kept hundreds of kids at a Chicago-area
high school waiting more than four hours before she finally showed up.
Sixteen minutes later, she was back out the door. "It's one thing to be
fashionably late. This is just rude," one of the students told the Chicago Tribune . "Our lives don't revolve around a pop star. Our school worked hard to win this. She should be more respectful."
Justin Bieber
Only one person gave Lindsay Lohan a real run for biggest celebrity
fool this year. Even though the "Beauty and a Beat" singer has been on
tour in Europe for the better part of 2013, he has still managed to make
lots of trouble worldwide. It all started on the very first day of the
year when a paparazzo was killed as he attempted to photograph Bieber's
Ferrari being pulled over by police … but instead it was an even bigger
fool behind the wheel, Bieber's rapper friend Lil Twist. Three days
later, that same pal was there once again when photos emerged of the pop
star smoking what appeared to be marijuana. "Trying to be better," the
19-year-old tweeted of the scandal. "Like I said... 2013... new
challenges. New doubters... I'm ready." And he gave us much more to have
doubt about. On January 23, a female radio disc jockey in North
Carolina accused him of cursing at her and even spitting in her water
bottle in a hotel gym after she asked him to take a photo with her. In early February, after The Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney joked
that the teen didn't deserve a Grammy because "he's rich," Bieber
tweeted that the rocker should be "slapped around," which ignited his
Beliebers to verbally attack Carney and threaten his life on Twitter.
While in London for a four-night engagement in early March, the
singer threw a fit after his 14-year-old friend Jaden Smith wasn’t
admitted to a nightclub, calling it his "worst birthday ever." Four
nights later, he kept his young fans waiting two hours at the O2 Arena
before he finally hit the stage. On March 8, he had to be physically
restrained by his bodyguard after he tried to attack a photographer. A
week later, while still on tour in Europe, he went on a lengthy rant on
Instagram, writing, "i'm growing up finding myself while having people
watch me and criticise me everyday i think im doing pretty damn good."
Bieber originally concluded with a snide remark about how people
shouldn't compared him to Lindsay Lohan because he made more money than
she did in 2012 … a comment he then deleted. On March 25, he had
non-Beliebers laughing at his expense yet again when the 19-year-old
walked through airport security in Poland minus his shirt and with his
pants pulled so far down his underwear was hanging out.
But once back in America the very next morning, Bieber committed what
is perhaps his most foolish act to date. According to reports, the teen
was racing his Ferrari an estimated 100 mph in his gated community,
causing a concerned neighbor to go over to his house to say something …
and Bieber didn't want to hear it. The neighbor later told police that
the teen threatened to kill him and even spit in his face, which has
been bolstered by other eyewitnesses. The case is currently under
investigation by the Los Angeles County Sherriff's Department.
Teen Moms Jenelle Evans and Farrah Abraham
The stars of MTV’s "Teen Mom" and "Teen Mom 2" have done tons of
things over the years that were immature, but two have recently caused
some true concern. Jenelle Evans has been on the wrong side of the law
ever since giving birth three years ago to son Jace, whom she does not
even have custody of, currently. And over the past three months it's
only gotten worse. In January, she claimed she was pregnant with her
second child with new husband Courtland Rogers, even though they had
been on and off since their December wedding … not to mention she had
admitted to using heroin. But soon after, the 21-year-old said she had a
miscarriage after being physically abused by her husband, who has since
been charged with six counts of assault, including two on an unborn
child. In early March, Jenelle headed to rehab for heroin, but left days
later. On March 6, she returned to treatment … only to leave yet again
four days later.
Farrah Abraham, from the first incarnation of "Teen Mom," has also been
facing some serious trouble with the law. After celebrating St.
Patrick's Day with friends, she was pulled over by police and arrested
for DUI after blowing twice the legal limit on a Breathalyzer. But the
21-year-old mother of 3-year-old Sophia insists she was not drinking,
despite the many photos from that night of her consuming beer. "Because
I'm sick, I could not give an accurate breathalyzer test, due to
coughing and shortage of breath," insisted Farrah on March 22. Days
later, photos from January emerged of the single mother dressed in
lingerie and dancing at a club while swigging from a giant bottle of
champagne and kissing another female dancer.
Rob Kardashian and Scott Disick
The Kardashian women may have their critics, but the men of the
family are the ones to really bring on the eye rolls. After youngest
sibling Rob went on a Twitter tirade against his ex-girlfriend Rita Ora,
accusing her of cheating on him with multiple men last year, he seemed
to quiet down as he worked on himself … and his burgeoning sock line.
But after exercising on March 27 (as he attempts to lose the 40 pounds
he gained after the split), Rob reportedly snatched a memory card from a
female photographer who took a picture of him without his shirt on.
Although the 26-yearold may not have the physique he wants, at least Rob
still has that Arthur George sock line, right?
His older sister Kourtney's longtime boyfriend and baby daddy isn’t
much better. Scott Disick – or Lord Disick, as he likes to call himself –
is constantly ruffling feathers with his attitude and poor treatment of
his girlfriend and mother of his two children. On the March 10 episode
of "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami" he drove Kourtney to tears after he
criticized her for not losing all the weight she gained from being
pregnant with daughter Penelope, who was born last July. After she
tearfully insisted she wanted to lose the remaining 10 pounds in a
healthy manner, Scott instead suggested she lose 20 pounds, telling her,
"Do it the healthy way, just do it faster." Two weeks later, he once
again drew the ire of many when he shot an alligator in the face on
another episode of his girlfriend's E! reality show. "He didn't kill
that alligator, he murdered that alligator," International Reptile
Rescue said in a statement. "Fairness would be to cut both his thighs so
he bleeds and then toss him in a gator pond with gators small enough to
rip him apart slowly and painfully."
Who do you think has been the biggest fool so far? Anyone else we missed?
