Stars Geniuses Kids
some A-list mommy tales of "smart," "mellow," "special," and "perfect" kids.
Beyonce may have given birth in a
$1.3 million private hospital suite and mesmerized 114 million U.S.
viewers with her stellar Super Bowl performance. But she's also a mom,
which means she's really just like us—at least when it comes to having
bragging rights. You know how it is when your kid is the absolute
smartest, coolest, most impressive human ever born? Beyonce does, too.
"She's very smart," Bey said of 13-month-old daughter Blue Ivy earlier
this week. "She's already reading flashcards. She's beautiful." Extreme
mom pride: even celebrities aren't immune.
"[He] started talking at four
months, he started crawling at five months, and he started walking at 12
months! He thinks he's 12 years old!" Alyssa Milano recently told US
Weekly about Milo, 18 months.
"We [potty trained] in ten days!
He was just ready for it. I figured that out when I had to chase him
around the house to get the diaper on him," Alicia Keys told Parenting
about almost-2-year-old Egypt in November 2012.
"He's so chill and mellow. He's
really, really, really . . . he's sweet," Jennifer Garner (seen here
with Seraphina) told Ellen DeGeneres about baby Samuel at 7 months.
"He's learning of lot sign
language, so he signs a lot. He plays soccer. He can kind of dribble
with both feet," Jewel told the Huffington Post about Kase, 16 months,
in November 2012. (He also enjoyed flashcards—so watch out, Blue Ivy.)
"She's so creative and she's so
bright and so special. Whatever she wants to do, I know she's going to
be amazing at it," Katie Holmes told New York Magazine in 2010 about
Suri, then 4. Oh and remember this fashionista tidbit? "She picks out
all of her own clothes," Holmes noted, "and has since she was 1½."
"We are parents that know the
joy of having a beautiful, brilliant, joyful, perfect baby. That somehow
heaven has opened up and delivered us an angel [who] looks adorable in
every angle of an iPhone photo," Reese Witherspoon (seen pregnant) said
about Tennessee James, 3 months, at the March of Dimes Celebrate Babies
event in December 2012.
